Up to now, our Presidents needed only one skill: To learn the technique of being elected and re-elected. That skill has now proven to be totally inadequate for our modern and complex times. We need to select a new kind of leadership for our country.

Somehow, our Presidents have decided that it's not their job to waste their time on all that technical stuff, that's the job of technical experts.

It is now very clear, we need a President who has the training and experience to successfully managing a large, diverse business organization, and who has demonstrated the ability and knowledge to solve complex business problems.


We need to modernize our government, with modern tools of management techniques and dedicated professional managers, including electing the right kind of President who already has the skills needed to solve major problems facing America.

America has now grown beyond merely a ""politician"" as our President. We need to enter the 21st century and get a professional Business Manager to be our President.

We need a person like Donald Trump who has the experience to apply strong business solutions to solve our nations problems.

Even if Trump looses, America will still win. Donald Trump will have created a new set of criteria for selecting our President finding the right Business Manager to be our President.

Minister Nicholson stated:
""I am proud today to announce that our Government has fulfilled its commitment to Canadians to produce legislation to make our streets, families and communities safer. ""We campaigned on a promise to get tough on child sexual offenders, crack down on illegal drug trafficking, and improve the overall efficiency of our judicial system. Canadians gave us a strong mandate to bring forward these reforms.""

AS 1830 for Grey Cast Iron

AS 1830 is an Australia standard for materials of grey cast iron. It is useful for iron casting buyers and suppliers. However, this standard is not as common as ISO and ASTM standards, so we listed some main information of this standard as followings, and provided the cross-references with other popular standards.
Hope this could be useful for those iron foundries in China, such as our Dandong Foundry.

This standard is originated as AS B26 - 1942 and AS B89 - 1942. Previous edition is AS 1830 - 2002. The fourth edition is published in 2007.

This Standard was prepared by the Joint Standards Australia/Standards New Zealand Committee MT-001, Iron and Steel, to supersede AS 1830 - 2002, Grey cast iron.

This Standard is identical with, and has been reproduced from ISO 185 : 2005, Grey cast irons. The objective of this Standard is to specify grades of Grey cast irons by chemical composition and hardness.

This International Standard specifies the properties of unalloyed and low-alloyed grey cast irons used for castings, which have been manufactured in sand moulds or in moulds with comparable thermal behavior.

Cross-references of ISO 185 grade designations to other standards

Table 1 provides a selection of approximate cross-references of ISO 185 grade designations to standard grades of cast iron according to the previous (1988) edition of ISO 185 and to standard grades from current EN, ASTM, JIS, and SAE specifications for grey cast iron.

Because SAE specifies grey cast-iron grades by a combination of minimum test-bar tensile-strength-to-hardness ratio and minimum casting hardness, SAE J431 grades, in addition to those shown, may also be produced to meet a grade specified only by tensile strength.

Because SAE hardness grades specify minimum casting hardness, a direct correlation between SAE J431 and ISO 185 hardness grades is not possible;

Table D.1 shows SAE grades which have minimum hardness values approximately the same as ISO grades.
Because ISO 185:1988 hardness grades did not differentiate between expected values for different relevant wall thickness, it is possible that more than one of the previous ISO hardness grades may satisfy the requirements of the current grades.

UGG Boots - UGG Australia Boots

UGG Australia is a brand name for fashionable sheepskin boots. Sheepskin footwear has long been popular in the rural areas of Australia, and its popularity increased as the product was discovered by surfers and others.

Even though one would think lined sheepskin is very hot, the way they allow air to circulate prevents feet from overheating.

The boots achieved some notoriety during the world wars when pilots searched for footwear that was warm and comfortable on their cold flights in high altitude. Swimmers and surfers also discovered the product in the 1960s and took to wearing them in public even though the boots had previously only been worn around the home.

They became even more popular and gained worldwide exposure when Brian Smith, a surfer from Australia, took a pair of UGG Australia Boots to the U.S. and impressed California surfers.

Soon UGG Australia Boots were seen all over the U.S., and UGG Australia was purchased by Deckers Outdoor Corporation (1995). They developed new designs over the years, and the line now includes slippers, casual shoes, and many boot designs.

Now the brand is recognized as a popular, high-end fashion footwear and is even seen on runway models in popular fashion shows worldwide.

Even Oprah Winfrey has enjoyed the fashion statement. Oprah featured the UGG Australia boots three times on her shows. In 2000, after receiving a pair of Ultra Boots, she featured them on her well-known ""Oprah's Favorite Things"" show.

Again in 2003 she featured the Baby Pink Classic Boots and Baby Blue Classic Boots and once again in 2005, Oprah featured the Uptown boot on ""Oprah's Favorite Things.""

Ralph Nader and Nader's Raiders Strike Again

The republican party got an early Easter Basket Sunday, 24 February, 2008 when Ralph Nader announced on NBC's Meet the Press with Tim Russert (the same forum where he announced his 2004 presidential run) that he was tossing his hat into the ring for the Office of The President of The United States of America.

In 1992 a third-party candidate, H. Ross Perot, claimed a large share of the American vote, nearly Twenty (20) percent , playing a role the Republican base will never forget.

The day following Nader's announcement, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is apparently contemplating his own independent presidential bid, defended Ralph Nader's right to seek the Nation's Highest Office.

So while Nader may be the nemises of the democratic party, it may be that the republicans have a spoiler of their own on their hands. If so, like H. Ross Perot, he has enough money of his own to make the country take him seriously - at least for a time.

Nader is a member of the Green Party. He came to prominence in the 1960s as a consumer advocate. His most significant program to the mind of a car lover, like the Tennessee Mountain Man, was spearheading the demise of what he dubbed the coffin on wheels - the Chevy Corvair.

Computer Man saw one of Nader's rolling coffins in mint condition traveling on Rossville Blouvard in Chattanooga, Tennessee just a week or so preceding Nader's announcement, and wondered if ""the spoiler"" would show again.

Given Nader's ego and his apparent thirst for power, he could have done no less. Having run unsuccessfully in 2000 and 2004, the 2008 bid will be Nader's third run for the office. Will the third time be the charm? Surely not.

Although Nader attracted just 2.7 percent of the vote nationwide, the democrats have not forgotten, nor forgiven, Ralp Nader for what they believe cost Al Gore the 2000 election. In 2004 he garnered only 0.3 percent of the vote, and yet he once again finds himself vilified in the Blogosphere as being in bed with The Grand Old Party.

Obama, who briefly organized with a Nader influenced group as a young man, taking the high road, said, ""Ralph Nader deserves enormous credit for the work he did as a consumer advocate, but his function as a perennial candidate is not putting food on the table of workers."" Obama did opine, that Ralph Nader in recent years tended to assume that candidates are fatally flawed if they fail to recognize the wisdom of his views.


Hillary, talking with reporters onboard her campaign plane said of Nader's run ""Obviously its not helpful to whomever our Democratic nominee is, but its a free country"" . In reference to the AL Gore - George Bush race of 20000, she suggested that Ralph Nader's Green Party candidacy cost the nation the ""greenest president'' it could have had. She believes Nader's new candidacy for the White House, at best, poses an unwelcome distraction.

Nader has run as both a Green Party candidate and an independent in past elections. He has not yet declared how he will run in the upcoming general election. Whatever his decision, he will be a power with which the Democratic Party Nominee will have to contend.

Not surprisingly, the Republicans were not so dismissive. On the other hand, Ward Harkavy, in the Village Voice Blog, dubbed Nader, ""America's Suicide Bomber"" while The Age saw him as the ""Democrats bogeyman"", and The Nation Blog apparently believes America still needs Ralph Nader to be Public Citizen Number One pursuing matters as a consumer advocate and not a presidential candidate.

Republican presidential candidate and former Arkansas governor, Mike Huckabee couldn't resist a little fun at Nader's expense and joked on CNN that Republicans would welcome Nader's entry into the race and hope that maybe a few more will join in.

Huckabee said in a television interview that a Ralph Nader candidacy was a suicide mission and would more likely pull votes away from Democrats than Republicans, and he welcomed the longtime consumer advocate into the fray.

Ron Paul's camp believes there is unhappiness among the electorate, and that he (Paul) best captures that anger, and that Ralph Nader is not the proper vehicle for the expression of America's year of discontent.

Nader, they feel, was a spoiler in 2000 and will long be remembered as being responsible for the election of George W. Bush, and that just as when he ran again in 2004 there will be few who care in the final analysis.

John McCain being the odds on favorite to benefit the most from the Nader candidancy has appropriately remained mum on the subject.

Woman Exercises Her Right to Die

Woman exercises her right-to-die and takes her own life surrounded by her family.
Brittany Maynard, the American who became the public face of the controversial right-to-die movement over the last few weeks, ended her own life Saturday at her home in Portland, Oregon. She was 29.

""Goodbye to all my dear friends and family that I love. Today is the day I have chosen to pass away with dignity in the face of my terminal illness, this terrible brain cancer that has taken so much from me ... but would have taken so much more,"" she wrote on Facebook. ""The world is a beautiful place, travel has been my greatest teacher, my close friends and folks are the greatest givers. I even have a ring of support around my bed as I type ... Goodbye world. Spread good energy. Pay it forward!""

Doctors told Maynard she had six months to live last spring after she was diagnosed with a likely stage 4 glioblastoma. She made headlines around the world when she announced she intended to die - under Oregon's Death with Dignity Act - by taking a fatal dose of barbiturates, prescribed to her by a doctor, when her suffering became too great.brittany-maynard 2

""My glioblastoma is going to kill me and that's out of my control,"" she told PEOPLE last month. ""I've discussed with many experts how I would die from it and it's a terrible, terrible way to die. So being able to choose to go with dignity is less terrifying.""

On Oct. 6, she launched an online video campaign with Compassion & Choices, an end-of-life choice advocacy organization, to fight for expanding death with dignity laws nationwide.

""For people to argue against this choice for sick people really seems evil to me,"" she told PEOPLE. ""They try to mix it up with suicide and that's really unfair, because there's not a single part of me that wants to die. But I am dying."" A Heartbreaking Choice Arriving at her decision was a gradual one, she said.


""It's not a decision you make one day and you snap your fingers,"" she told PEOPLE.

She said she began thinking about death with dignity in January - when she was first diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor - after coming across an article on it while researching possible treatments.

""Really, from the beginning, all the doctors said when you have a glioma you're going to die,"" she told PEOPLE. ""You can just Google it. People don't survive this disease. Not yet.""

Doctors removed as much of the tumor as they could, but it came back larger than ever two months later, she said.

After researching her options, she decided not to try chemotherapy or radiation.

""They didn't seem to make sense for me,"" she said, because of ""the level of side effects I would suffer and it wouldn't save my life. I've been told pretty much no matter what, I'm going to die - and treatments would extend my life but affect the quality pretty negatively.""

In June, she moved to Oregon with her husband, Dan Diaz, 43, her mother, Debbie Ziegler, 56 , and her stepfather, Gary Holmes, 72, so she could have access to the state's Death with Dignity Act, which allows physicians to prescribe life-ending medication to certain terminally ill patients.
